How to read age, pageviews, and referring domains
Each marketplace card prints three numbers: years old, pageviews, and sites linking in. On 20 September 2026, helloerik.com showed 16 years, 76 pageviews, and 648 referring domains. bakencaketools.com showed 9 years, 416 pageviews, and 231 referring domains. splogreporter.com showed 21 years, 10 pageviews, and 310 referring domains, with a spam flag on the listing.
Read each number on its own. The three cells stay three cells.
Age
Age is registration age from public data. It tells you how long the name has been registered. Rankings and whether the old site was any good are a later check on Wayback and the live listing.
Open the listing for archive years. helloerik.com also showed 17 years in the archive. simtrains.com was 26 years old, with 24 years in the archive, 29 pageviews, and 138 referring domains. A long registration can be a real old site, a parked name, or a name that bounced through spam. Age without archive history is a date. Archive years are the history check.
Pageviews
Pageviews are leftover recorded views from the inventory feed, when the feed has that number. bakencaketools.com at 416 views on a 9-year name is a different traffic picture than helloerik.com at 76 views with a much larger link count. softpouch.com sat in the middle of that day: 24 years, 258 pageviews, 286 referring domains, plus 30 keyword searches on the listing.
Keyword searches are a search-volume cell. Rankings need Search Console after you own the name. Empty pageview cells stay empty.
Referring domains
Referring domains are unique sites linking in, from public link data when we have it. 648 links on helloerik.com with 76 pageviews is a common expired-name shape: the graph outlasted the audience. 310 links on splogreporter.com with 10 pageviews and a spam flag is the other common shape: the graph may be junk. groworganicapples.com showed 19 years, 185 pageviews, and 540 referring domains.
Sort the marketplace by the number you actually care about. Age, views, and links stay three cells. A blank cell stays blank. There is no fourth grade on the card.
Casino, pharma, adult, and trademark lookalikes stay off the default marketplace row. Uncheck that filter and you will see names whose referring-domain counts are often leftover from the old use. A high link count on a casino-looking name is leftover gambling graph.
Sort the marketplace by age, pageviews, or referring domains, then open the listing before you email a hold.
